Does this indicate too much oil pressure inside the turbo?

When I put this Scarles SCR320 on, I used the banjo bolt that came with it, but the ####### thing leaked like a sieve so I went and got this plate and 90 degree fitting instead. I put it on pretty tight, I had to use the vice and twist the plate an extra nudge. I didn't use thread tape or a thread sealer.
But it still leaks. Before I thread tape the top half of the thread I thought I would check and see if I am just masking a problem, and wrecking my seals. Namely I'm scared my return is too small and restricting the flow out of the turbo.
The return is 16mm ID steel tube for about 200mm, then 20mm ID hose for 500mm before going back into about 200mm of the 16mm ID steel tube in to the sump. Scarles reckoned that should be OK.

what fitting is the turbo BSP or NPT, by the looks of it you got the wrong one, that fitting should appear to have a taper on the threaded seaction of the fitting. And yes, use thread tape regardless. Oil + hot turbo housing = burnt out insurance write off. .
And also the oil departing the bearing housing for it's return trip to the engine sump will be foamy froth as apposed to a liquid as it gets heated and churned by the spinning bearings so yes the pipe diameter is plenty big enough

don't use thread tape, it'll just melt.. use a thread lock goo,, cant remember it exactly.. but it'll hand heat and seal it as well..

I would convert it to 10x1 thread and seal on a alloy or copper washer , taper threads with disimular metals on something that gets upto 700 degrees never seem to work that well ,

Thanks for the replies guys, Crash Bandicoot was right and refreshed my memory - when I went to Scarles and got the plate, they told me the thread was 1/8" PT (not MPT, or NPT, just PT?). I then went across to Hose Shop and they found a fitting that fit it, which I think was BSP... thread tape was all I had on hand and seems to have done the trick for now, but will get me some of that locktite stuff. Thanks for the help!

straight thread with copper washers is the best way
