Flipping ifs draglink
Flipping ifs draglink
I am currently in the process of fitting my ecotec 3.8 into a rolling body of a mu before fitting it into mine and was wondering if anyone has ever tried flipping the draglink so it sits under the pitman arm and idler arm? This would give me the perfect amount of clearance to mount it lower and easier. Cheers

There is probably as much work n reversing the tapers as there is modding the engine sump.

I could be wrong but I would have thought that flipping the draglink would change your ackerman angle, however given that its an offroad vehicle on chunky tyres and not a Porsche 944 turbo, probably not enough to cause any real world problems.

You don't really want the drag link any lower unless you can protect it.

Yeah good points. I have decided that since i only need at most 10mm more to be happy with it i will just space my engine mounts up to suit (as long as certifier is ok with this)
