beading intercooler pipes?
beading intercooler pipes?
has anyone got an easy to make tool for this, all ive seen is an exhaust clamp and a washer method on the net which doesnt seem to flash.
Re: beading intercooler pipes?
i would call the exhaust clamp one a flash tool.
i just used pliers to flare the ends. good enough for 15lb boost.
how much boost are you running?

Run 3 small lines of weld with the mig.
Flappy disc on the grinder to tidy up.
All good
I use this method on rad piping and it hasnt failed me yet
Its quick and easy and if you want to alter it, easy, grind the welds off, sorted

Re: beading intercooler pipes?
i was round at a mates place he had his arc welder out attacking a zuki sj, so i made tool in pic no 2, very impressed with ther outcome! way neater than i expected and my pipes stayed on! just got other problems to fix now, like over heating and low oil pressure sender, it never stops.
