beading intercooler pipes?

beading intercooler pipes?

has anyone got an easy to make tool for this, all ive seen is an exhaust clamp and a washer method on the net which doesnt seem to flash.

i would call the exhaust clamp one a flash tool.
i just used pliers to flare the ends. good enough for 15lb boost.

how much boost are you running?

Run 3 small lines of weld with the mig.
Flappy disc on the grinder to tidy up.
All good

I use this method on rad piping and it hasnt failed me yet

Its quick and easy and if you want to alter it, easy, grind the welds off, sorted

righto, i just need a welder, a vice, and some plate in qt, all mine is in chch! ill give it a hoon.

i was round at a mates place he had his arc welder out attacking a zuki sj, so i made tool in pic no 2, very impressed with ther outcome! way neater than i expected and my pipes stayed on! just got other problems to fix now, like over heating and low oil pressure sender, it never stops.

Shit, that looks easier than laying a bead round alloy pipes,and tidier...might need to make me one of them
modified surf, hardly drive it seem to keep modifying it....
