Hilux Surf to Single cab mounts

Post by Dannz71 »

Gday
I currently have a LN61 body surf on a LN60 solid axle chassis with a lot of work underneath it
HOWEVER the cab is getting a little bit beaten up and a few rust spots are appearing as well as the body has now unfortunately deregistered.
SO im looking to change the cab but i want a single cab because the surf is too big and i want to rear mount the radiator and other things.
Im not worried about certing it as i am already going to go through the process for other work done.
WHAT i wanted to know was if the mounts from a later model single cab will fit such as a ln107 series single cab or a LN150 single cab body will bolt up, im not worried about the tray mounts just the cab.
So does anyone know the if the mounts are the same?

Thanks heaps

Ln106/7 right up to the 05 last of shape before sheep shagers all have same mounts...with Your chassie your front mounts at radaitor support and the 2 at front of cab inside will match but those cabs are slightly longer than the early ln60 single cabs so will have to make or move the rear of cab ones back..

If that makes sense

It has a 350 chev in it at the moment and fits very well in the surf body. I haven't done any measurements but I'm hoping the LN150 engine bay confinements are similar

from what i understand the vin/tags go with the chassis so swapping cabs wont get around the problem of it being dereg?
