Hi all, Im stuck and no automotive electronic genius.
I have a 1995 4x4 hilux, the indicated in the bulbar wasn't working when I bought the truck so I jumped under a couple days ago and tried to wire it up as had no connections on it. Anyway it didn't work and now when I wqas playing the same side indicated in the guard has stopped working and the side light.
All the others are fine.
The indicated fuse is fine and the bulbs are sweet as I have swapped the indicters around.
I am stuck........ The wiring looks factory and doesn't look to be tampered with in the past. Any help would be muchly appreciated as I have just taken to a sparky and they want a minimum of $80 to even look at it.

Cheers Chris :?

Go and spend that $80 on a multimeter. Then you're looking for voltage at the plug, if not, then continuity in the wires, trace it back until you find the problem.
Electronics is a bit like bread-board kits for big-kids. You just can't fix it with a hammer.

I have noticed a few 20A "automotive" ones around (blue, kinchrome?). I've never had cause to need to measure more than 10 but less than 20, but since they're no more expensive, one of those could do for you.

Hey mate, yea I've got a multimeter, only know how to use it to get a 12 volt reading tho, lol . I've had another play with it this arvo after posting the post and managed to get the indicator in bumper bar to work but not the guard one.
I assume it's just a matter of tracing it back now until I find summit.
I would assume the wires from the guard indicated link up with the bumper one at some point.
