wheel fitment on GQ safari

Post by RedPower »

Hey Guys/Gals?

New member to the Nissan forum from just selling my SWB bighorn :( and replacing it with a SWB Safari. :D
The truck has a 2 inch lift with both sway bars removed my tyres are 33"x12.5 R15s which are rubbing on my guards (while flexing) due to the offset of the rims.
The Rims are 15x10 with a -44 offset i'm happy to go to 15x8 but not sure which offset would suit best?
I don't want to raise it as i like to keep my 4x4's as low as possible,
and can't massage the guard lips due to the rubber flares that are fitted.

cheers.

Depends on where they are rubbing, is it the outside edge of the tyre coming into contact? if so you may just have to reduce the offset but still keep a ten inch wide rim. or reduce the full lock stoppers but sacrifice turning circle.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.

Yep I've got 33's pretty sagged lift and think offset is -24 and no rubbing issues on 15x8's.

As mentioned above.

Go to 15x8" rims . They are available, suitable for safari fitment from -19 thru to -28 in some cases (I think)

It will pull the outside edge of the rim in roughly 2" and also keep your beads better seated on the rim for offroad use :-)

My thoughts ;-)
