Single to double cab

Post by braydenh28 »

Hi all I have a single cab 92 hilux and have spent a lot of money reconditioning engine etc. I am now wanting a double cab and woundering wether it is possable to fit a double cab toy chassis and how much work is required. Has anyone done this or no anyone that has it would be great to hear from you. Cheers

Yes.. You have to fit 2 more body mounts.. Wheel base is 18mm shorter between models

I did it the other way, put a single cab body on a double cab, there are 4 mounts needed to change if going double cab, the ones behind the front doors on the single cab and the deck mounts will need ground off.
I had a single cab and a double cab to measure off, there was no difference in the chassis and wheelbase lengths. The only difference is the cab&deck mounts. I think I did a thread on here of it.
