Terrano motor swap

Hi folks, just bought a 1991 2.7 manual terrano yesterday with a dead reg. The Motor is great and the gearbox has been reconditioned. Unfortunately the body has a bit of rust around the windows which I can imagine would be super pricey to sort out to get the cert. What I was wondering is whether the motor and gearbox in my truck could be put into a v6 1994 terrano with a busted engine. that I have my eye on.
