Hey all.

Just wondering if there are any LJ73s or KZJ73s in New Zealand.

I know there are a fair few SWB 71s and LWB 78s which I think all came in as Jap imports but I've never seen any of the medium wheelbase ones.

Never hear of it. Weren't the 73's all either BJ or HZJ?

What's an LJ73? Do they have the little L series motors (of the LJ70/78) but leaf sprung and using the larger diffs (of the BJ73)? What body are they on? The shorty or the FRP top middy?

Yep, just like The WEHI said. Medium wheelbase, coil sprung 8" diffs and either the L or K series donk. I think they all had the fibreglass top.
I don't think they were sold in the Japanese home market which is why I haven't seen any as imports here.

Learn something everyday.
They look like they would be an awesome base for a road legal club truck. Not all the weight of a normal MWB, body stays off the banks, a good wheel base and can turn in to a ute.
I like it.
