Hi folks
Can anyone point me to a good online resource how to do a cambelt on the 3L common rail ford ranger engine? (is it the same as the bt-50 engine?) What parts should I replace along with the belt? (I can do a Toyota in 20 mins but never seen one of these....)

I've done one, its easy if you don't want to change the cam seals. Just remove the cover and you will have full access to the cambelt. It's not directly driven off the crank so the front pulley doesn't need to come off.
I would recommend canging the injector seals as the one I did had one blown injector seal, the was a lot of black greasy gunk around the injector and thats not good for a long engine life I suspect. Each seal was around $4 from Ford, I suspect it's a common problem on these.
To do the full job I would recommend doing the water pump and the seals on the belt drive system but this requires the rocker cover to come off to be able to hold the camshaft still so the cam pulley can be removed. If you do choose to do this the injectors have to come out so you will need new seals anyway. It's important to torque the injectors down correctly and all the specs are available online with a bit of hunting. Look after the injectors well and be careful not to damage the squirting end as you'll need to replace them if damaged.
I think I paid $250 for the cambelt kit with tensioner and seals, water pump was around $150 from BNT.
You don't need to bleed air from the high pressure system like the older style mechanical pumps, just crank it until it starts (took a few minutes).
It's been covered online so a google search will be your friend here.
