i read that the kzn130 has its output shaft from the transfer
case (and hence the transfer case)on the opposite side to the kzn185, so there is likely to be a difference, so make sure you get some replies on here from guys that know, before you click "buy now".

not sure what the 185 use.
easiest is gearbox from any ln130 which is r151f, common as mud. plenty of those being wrecked.
not sure about bell housing, flywheel and clutch.

KZN130 have transfer output on the drivers side KZN185 is passenger side, so its not an easy swap that way yes you can get a ln130 box and transfer as they will be the same as a kzn130 box number R151 if done this way you will need to sorce a KZ manual bellhousing and you can buy solid flywheel and clutch kits on TM for around $600 this way is better than the factory dual mass type. but for a direct bolt in you will need to look for a box and transfer from your model KZN130 and get the crossmsmber and flywheel clutch combo, also good to get clutch master cylinder, pedal and slave cylinder including all the lines for ease of fitment. What are you doing with the old auto might be keen on buying it.
