finding TDC on Diesel Terrano

Hi all,

Trying to set valve lash on my 1990 TD27 terrano, have found tdc on petrol cars before by just sticking somthing down the spark plug hole, but not sure how im supposed to do this on the diesel.. im pritty sure the glow plug and injector holes go into a 'pre chamber' first so cant use them.
any ideas?

Take the rocker cover off and set #1 with valves on #4 rocking, #4 with #1 rocking, #2 with #3 rocking and #3 with #2 rocking. No need to find TDC.
