Got a new project. It has 1979 Fj45 axles with drums all around.
So other than having drum breaks how strong are the diffs axles cvs and manual hubs??
Thanks matt

As good as the lcs do as long as the cv are fine spline not course. The age may well be course. Easy to replace as the fine splines units fit straighties
Use the hibs of a 60 or 70 to get disks on the front. It all just bolt off to bolt back on.
Rear there are many differant options with vairing degrees of ease and success

I believe hilux front brakes bolt on. It fact everything from the swivel hub out is what I have read (get someone else to confirm before buying parts though, or test fit using parts off you Zook). They have the same cv's etc as lux's as well (old splines excluded).
