Is there someone in auckland that can actually tune a diesel 80 series, not just playing around with it a guessing... preferably tuning to AFR and egt, im not wanting all out power, just decent reliable tune.

Ive tuned mine to egt's as diesels either make power with fuel or don't.. also played with boost to 14.5psi give or take a little bit.. and I've just adjusted the main screw a wee bit and the other 2 screws as per previous posts or threads found round the net.. I get a puff of black when heavy exceleration then clears bewdy..Egt's are around 750 mark.. and goes well.. AFR tuning I think wouldn't yield that much of a difference if anything at all as you either burn it or don't so I just tried to make things nice and not high in egt.. was easy to do once egt gauge and boost gauge are in place.. not hard at all.. Could get into it more but this is basically what I have done.. Bear in mind.. my engine has only done 30k from rebuild and has front mount intercooler which is a great advantage..

Yeh I'm just wanting someone that knows what they're doing... Not long after I brought my truck I removed turbo, injectors and pump and sent them to alltech to high flow turbo with billet wheel, new injectors and pump rebuild to suit turbo ( well that what I asked for ) and I got factory setting plus 5% apparently... And a half arsed main fuel screw turn to get me sorted which after spending 3k with them on just parts alone I did all the labour, I was expecting more... Still can't run too much boost as it starts taking fuel out over 15psi, so just wanting someone to tune it properly, I'm not expecting a weapon ( that's why I'm building a safari haha, just good reliable power)

I've already done intercooler, part time kit, 3" exhaust off the turbo, water meth injection... So Ive built it to be reliable,

So what did the say they spec is on your turbo?I know of 2 80s with just standard turbo upgraded/intercoooler/exhaust that make real good power reliably with pump tweaked only slightly.
