Well I have been using the excuse it rains too much to paint and been working in the shed , alas not on my 4x4 :(

Many months ago my cousin started cutting down a rolled vitara to make a club truck . Well I pushed it into the shed and got back to work on it . Tacked the roll cage mounts in place then pulled the body off , to weld the mounts properly , change the fuel tank and the engine gearbox . At this point I ask why we did not just use the other zuk but it was not very straight anymore .

Image

This zuk has been used on the beach alot , it is full of sand and every bolt below the headlights is rusted in place . Still once its back together is will have an 8v efi engine along with a supercharger in the near future (if I am nice ) .

And where is my cousin while I am doing all this , down in Queenstown drinking his way home

Cheers
Chris

Lets see... I fixed the roof rack on the truck, did alot of driving trying to find the rev-limiter on the 2JZ... started building a sand pit.. Started dismantling the roof in the truck so I can build some custom consoles...

Mounted a fold up table to the inside of the large barn door on the rear of the safari . Made up the shell and draws for a storage system to go into the back of the safari, need to finsh it off but those draws just work soooo beautifulllly. Have an idea for a water tank to go with it.

well.. not weekend. I just SOA the rear of the blizzard in 2 hours start to finish.. one mount not on rgiht angle. but wedged it.. might be a little higher than i wanted. but it might sag a bit more. or i could fit the 37's.....
just need to get some new springs made for the front. and do all the jobs i should have done instead..

Went for a play up the Waipara in the wet and managed to scare the crap out of a shiney owner who thought he too could triumph over the Horseshoe. Image

Dude, bummer. We left Nelson for the coast over Xmas/ New years, nothing BUT rain all week, and stuck in tents too, the kids loved it....(But what do you expect on the west coast)
Glad to be home again, but yeah, where is the sunshine???
