I'm getting tired of replacing the mast on the electric antenna model. Looking for a flexible permanent replacement to do the job. Keen to hear from those who've done this and what they used. In the process of removing the electric motor from the guard. Not keen on coat hanger setups. Cheers for sharing if you can.

Dirty Bugger!
Re: TD42 Radio Antenna Replacement
Supercheap do a short flexible rubber aerial that fits up pretty easy. I've still wiped a few off in the Bush but they have lasted ok.

Re: TD42 Radio Antenna Replacement
I have done some at work where I have removed the mast and made an aluminum insert to fit into the aerial that has a stainless RT whip in it. It is the same dimensions as the sleeve that holds the mast in but only has a small hole drilled into the top to push the whip into, and a small grub screw in the side to lock the whip in.

As mentioned those short rubber ones from
Super cheap are good and easy to fit. I put one on my 80 series and it's been all good and durable.
