high idle after egr block and turbo swap

Post by tinyterranosaurus »

First, I have tried searching. But if someone knows a thread i might have missed please link me it.

changed turbo, blocked off egr with plates and removed the vaccum limes back to solenoid. Removed butterfly section to mount and intercooler.

also changed seal in the injector pump.
After reassembly the td27 idles at 2000rpm. Im almost certain that everything on the pump has gone back on the way it came off and sure theres no leaks on the intercool/turbo bits. Could it havesomething to do with the lines that were on the egr?

it will be something with the pump. unless your new turbo is leaking oil into the intake.

There's a fast idle vacuum solenoid on the firewall drivers side that I think I got confused up with the egr vacuum plumbing and made this happen. Was ages ago so can't remember exactly, but I had vacuum on it and it was making a fast idle like 1600rpm . I think originally for aircon to help compressor .

Might help? Otherwise it's pump.

thanks guys! im gonna try attack it today when the weather wears off, the solenoids that have the vacum lines going back onto them, if i connect them to the intake to get pressure back is that a reliable way of testing it?

and with the pump is there somthing i can adjust on the pump?
