Prado issue

OK, I went to see my local mechanic (who I go to regularly) to do a full service...$500 later, I leave the shop with the car not feeling as smooth as before the service. I go back, but they cannot find anything wrong. I drive around, and notice white smoke coming out of the exhaust. 2 weeks later, my radiator leaks (I realise a bit late...overheating big time!). I go back to the garage, they change the radiator ($800) and send me on my way...White smoke still there. I go to another garage and ask them to check the oil...The first garage used the wrong grade oil! They are happy to change it, but should they reimburse me for the radiator as well? Could it be related?
What shall I do now?
Thanks for any help,
Nico

oil isn't related to the radiator.
however i would have liked to have seen what was wrong with the radiator.

how did the second garage come to the conclusion the oil was the wrong grade did they put a sample in their oil grade tester

, oil viscosity isn't going to make your engine blow white smoke, make it overheat or cause your radiator to leak

the correct oil grade is based more on the climate of the market the vehicle is being operated in rather than manufacturers specifications general specifications

did the second garage tell you the grade of oil the first garage used caused it to blow white smoke, overheat and made the radiator leak?
is it a 1kz prado and what grade oil did the first garage use
