just about finished adding a 94 terrano td27t turbo to my non turbo 96 navara. Were can I get vacuum from, I think I need it to run into the butterfly between the turbo and the intake manifold and also to some little pipe that taps into the large pipe between the turbo and intake. the engine I stripped it off had had a few things mine doesn't. any help or pointers in this area would be greatly appreciated. first time to play with any sort of turbo, cheers

Hi take that butterfly out and thread the alloy holes and put short bolts in there with locktight, also take out the egr valve and that pipe that goes between the inlet and exhaust manifolds it sits between the firewall and back of engine and make blanking plates to cover the holes left in each manifold

You are going to the trouble of turbo charging an engine, then going to leave a big fat restriction in the intake?

it's probably not going to worry you too much - cable tie it wide open if you can't be arsed removing it.

all removed, thank you for the pointers. 1 more question, should I be running any more fuel through to the injectors when its turbo'd ?. before I started, the ute never blew smoke under load or at high revs etc, so there may be room to add a touch more go if recommended. if so what screw do I turn and how far do I turn it. thanks again

Buy and install a good quality (Auberins) EGT gauge and go from there. have been told a max temp of 550 degrees post turbo is about all u want to go.
adjust fuel to suit
