Post by icekayak »

Anyone know the current condition of the crunchie trail or other trails up that way?
Thinking of planning a trip up that way in the very near future....

Cheers

any surfers out there, some mates and i are planning about a 3-4 day trip to shippies, for a surf / 4wd trip in the next two weeks, so if you want to stay on after the crunchie (or before) we might be able to get some waves.

Tubeless a/ts at 15 psi on the cruchie dont quite work... (I now have a second set of rims, with m/ts, still tubeless, but run at higher psi)

The guys in the Whg club got it sorted on the track, wheel on the truck.

Let me know when your heading up would be keen to tag along

We did it on thursday. Its a pretty cool little track, but is heaps shorter than I expected. Only a couple of k's long.

Amazing views over the dunes and beach at the end.

We had Hugo's zuk and a stock surf. No dramas. No winching or towing. Surf had to have a few go's at a couple of bits, but thats to be expected with a Toyota I guess :P
