Offroad-Express

Been looking at pajeros, particularly the 3.5 models. I see some are GDI and some are non GDI. I have been told that the GDI engine is not as good as the non GDI.

Is there any truth to this??

Also, is there anything common problems with these engines that I need to look for when purchasing?? I currently have a diesel pajero with the 4M40 engine, but looking for something with a bit more grunt.

something to do with carbon build up on the intake ports/valves on the gdi models - do a quick google.
