Terrano brakes possessed

Hi I HAVE A PROBLEM THATS BEEN DRIVING ME NUTS FOR A WHILE NOW.
I recently changed the front brake pads in my Nissan Terrano and after
fitting and bleeding I found I had no brake pedal pressure.
I had brakes working perfectly before the pad change but now I cant get
any pressure at all. I can pump it a few times get some pressure if I hold it
on the last pump but after releasing and pushing agin it just drops to the floor.
Ah you say its the master cylinder.....well I thought that too but to confirm I have
swapped my master cylinder over with a friend that has the same car and the
symptoms continued. Put my master on his car and bleed asnd had perfect pedal pressure.
Figured ..... cant be the master. Re bleed still no pressure. swapped my calipers for his
no change.Clamped off the rubber hoses at all brakes dfront and rear ..... got solid pedal o
pressure.....undid one hose clamp at a time immediately lost pressure with every combination.
No oil leaks anywhere tried to isolate one brake at a time nothing.
Rear pads where getting low so I replaced and bleed ,,,,,no joy.
I got so desperate that I changed my master and my calipers over to my mates car and no problem.
Put his on mine .....no pressure. Cant see a preporsioning valve on the system, the master has 3
pipe outlets 1 for rear 2 for front.
have clamped off rubber hoses as close as I can to both calipers and metal brake line
to eliminate hose fatigue.....no change.
Should I consider getting a Priest in for an exorcism or have I messed something.
Any advice gratefully recieved. Local brake guy says buy a new master but there nearly $200
and I have proved mine works on my mates car......?

Have had no evidence that they are in need of replacement.....I have also placed timber between the pads with calipers off the disc then pumped still no joy

replace the brake hoses?. they'll be damaged and flexing when you push the pedals
also dont mean to be obvious but the fluid level is correct and not dropped below halfway when bleeding?

Yes fluid level good when bleeding , hoses were a thought but they appear to be in good condition, have held them when mate pushed pedal. Car not with me at the moment and I cant remember can you just replace the hoses or do you have to replace the metal lines connected to them as well

changing the pads doesn't have any effect on the hydraulic operation of the brakes, what else did you do when you changed the pads :?:

i would look to see whats different between yours and your mates.

btw do you have ABS?
what sort of rear brakes does it have?
what year/model terrano?

i have had it when the rear brakes are way out of adjustment (drums) or excessively worn, that it takes up most of the pedal travel before the front brakes come on.
however they don't usually have a 3 outlet master cylinder so i don't know if that would apply.

the other thing could simply be caused by trapped air. possibly yours is sitting at a different angle compared to your mates when you bleed it and its trapping air in.

Have you got the calipers swapped from side to side? If you do you can have the bleed nipple at the bottom instead of the top so it is impossible to bleed.

can you check under the dash and see if the pedal box mounting and the hinge are still in one piece, might be flexing at the mount not allowing full stroke of the master cylinder

front discs are visually ok , metal lines are coiled before heading to calipers
