Hi guys. I had my 106 temp gauge try and creep up a little the other day after 45mins of driving 100k in 5th hard up as these things are pigs with big wheels haha.
It didn't push any coolant, Just went just over half. Radiator looks to be very old and well used.
I have just done water pump before this happened, Have a new thermostat to go in.
I want to put a new radiator in but there's so many options im stuck on whats going to work best, Hoping some people with past experience can help me out..
Thanks

Radiators aren't big ticket items anymore mate you'll pick one up for around 300 bucks, unless you buy a toyo one from japan pretty much everything else comes from china now and should work fine, if you buy an alloy radiator make sure its a fully welded one, most of them are but just make sure before you buy, copper vs alloy is over to you type it into google and you'll be reading for hours and still be left wondering if there's really any advantage over either one

if your coolant is rusty looking water give the block a good long flush with the hose to get all the shit out before you hook up the new radiator

Just been through same process with my ln107. Eventually went with a alloy Fenix one. its been really good. I delt with fenix directly in Petone, cost $260 and came with cap also.

Very interesting,
Spoke with Fenix today they said they have sold 89 LN106 Full alloy radiators 3 core 43mm this year with not one return.. Copper/Brass items they have had warranty claims on..
