Auto Trans Specialist in Akl?

Post by crazydragon »

Anyone has any recommendations for Auto Trans Specialist in AKL?

I have a HDJ100 LandCruiser with the 4 speed auto trans. 345000kms on the clock and I'm thinking of chipping + 3"inch exhaust. Engine is in good condition but the trans feels like it needs some tender loving care in the near future. Just want someone to diagnose and see if I need a rebuild or not before I chip the engine. Would rather spend money on the transmission before the chip and exhaust mod.

Cheers

Thanks for the recommendations guys. Turns out it wasn't my transmission. Went to Kaspa and Gearbox factory and they reckon it was shifting properly and normal. But had a clunking issue that may possibly be propeller shaft not greased enough. Apparently it's a very common issue with 100 series. No wonder why all the 100 series I test drove before does the same thing.

Anyone experienced with 100 series in this forum? Seems like there are tons of information with the old 1KZ Prado & Surf but not much bout the newer models..

The clunking noise I had in the 80 was just the slack in the drivetrain due to wear, went away when I did the 2wd mod
