KZN130 O/D issues

Post by zukmeista »

KZN130 won't select O/D, switch turns light on dash on and off but won't go into O/D. Have been told it will be the ECU but thought I might ask here first to see if it will be something else.

My Pajero had the same issue, it was the ecu not talking to the speedo, mitis's won't go into od unless the ecu knows the engine is warm enough and the speed high enough, maybe toyotas are the same.

ECU's are very common for failing.

Could be a few things... Speed sensor, temp sensor, ecu, solenoid in box. More than likely the ECU as at a or after 10 years old the caps leak and damage the curcuit boards.... can get all sorts of faults from Auto playing up to start / running issues...
