Hi all,
My 92 Safari has always had shitty now wattage headlamps in it. I've finally bought some 100/90watt 24v globes from repco. Only afterwards did I stop and think can I put these in. So, can I put these in without overloading the system or drawing too much?

Humm
100/90 eq 4amps/3.75amps
Std was 55/35 at a guess?
Eq >2amps/1.5 amps
Possibly not enough to blow fuses. Wiring fire is a separate story tho.
Best to talk to a auto sparky.

Re: High wattage headlamps
run them via a relay with heavier wiring will be fine.
Waiter...there is a drought in my glass.
Re: High wattage headlamps
What crash said..you have to put in a relay!
Other wise it'll be fine, i've been running 130/90's for several years and have never had an issue.
