Hi guys don't know if this has been discussed before
As we all know escudos have a weak front diff has anyone put a escudo body on a samurai or sj413 chassis??
My thinking is if it would work it would get rid of that weak front diff and open up the opportunity to put hilux diffs of or similar to allow for bigger tyres and more power like a commodore v6

Why not just put hilux diffs under the vitara chassis?

I did think of that but I thought it would be better on the samurai chassis as it has leaf spring mounts already so it could be a solid axle instead of coil springs

Wheel base is different . Body width is different
Could be done but would look fugly

Better off SASing the vitara as it all ready has a really good a-arm and coil setup in the back

A friend of mine is building a SWB Vitara with FJ40 diffs and a Commy v6. Should be pretty cool when its done!

My mate had a zook with this very combo.
Power to weight it was awesome.
He ran prado diffs and fiddles instead of lockers

If anyone decided they want to do this I have a bare sj413 chassis sitting in my backyard. Is for sale located Palmerston North. Not wanting much for it in pretty good nick too
