Hi guys I'm trying to put a amplifier for my stereo in my 91 safari truck and wanting to know how i go about doing it.
I know not to hook it up directly to 1 battery.
Can it be run off a 24v-12v reducer and can it also run a led light bar and cb radio without draining the batteries cheers

i think the biggest jaycar do is 40 amp. Which is pretty serious.
I ran new wiring straight from the rh battery (24v to ground) to my converter (20A) but there is wiring in the passengers footwell kickpanel where the factory reducer is but probably max 10A.
You can wire in your acc trigger there, or (my preference) find a wire the DOESNT drop to 0V when cranking and splice into that.

Look into a charge equaliser and run your 12v accessories off of the passengers side battery. Or get some 24v accessories.
