Hi all
What fuse do I pull to disable airbags while off road ? Is it the Big Yellow one RH side fuse panel ?
Will I set them off by removing and putting back with ignition off ?

Hope someone knows the answer to this one.

What vehicle?? someone here might have the same as yours.

Most 4wd's with airbags will disable them when 4wd or 4wd lo is selected.

Better yet leave her at home! I know that's harsh but I couldn't resist.

Why would you want your airbag not to work? If you're in a crash big enough to set it off you'll be glad you had it...

I believe air bags work differently, and in some cases are disabled, when in 4 low in Jeeps. But I agree, why would you want it disabled on purpose. If the bump is hard enough to activate them, you would be thankful that they did deploy when they did.

Generally two things that will garuntee a write off is water damage and deployed airbags even if its relatvley cheap to prepare physical damage to the vehicle.

Thanks guys, sorry about that. Just I have never had a modern vehicle for off roading with Airbags, hence the question. I am used to my 23 year old tank of a Safari and Toyota with such stuff. It was just a question to satisfy myself and put my mind at ease . I have nudged a bank or two while in a 4 wheel slide down hill :)

I just leave mine on, had some big hits and they never went off.
I think air bag deployment use to write cars off due to the air bag price but I've seen second hand ones for under $100.

A brand new driver side air bag from Mopar is around USD 400, passenger side is around USD 200. This out of US. I looked at both 2002 Cherokee and 2012+ Wrangler.... Just for info.
