Hi,

Sold a Nissan Terrano (1996 3.2L Diesel). The new owner has come back about a week later and said that there is no 'Air Conditioning Belt' but i cant remember the air conditioning not working?

Could of this belt easily broken and become disloged since they have had the truck? Either way, will need to sort... Looks like the belt itself will cost about $20, but can anyone give me an idea of labour hours / cost for the installation of the new belt?

Cheers,

Mike

Belts can break.

The labour would be minimal to fit I would have thought. Have not done a terrano but all the Toyota ones I've done have been a piece of piss.

If I bought a truck and there was no air con belt on it I would just sort it myself. I wouldn't be going back to the seller. Its buyer beware, I'd tell him to sort it himself.

If you feel inclined to assist I would buy the belt, hand it to him and tell them to get it fitted themselves.

Later,.

If the a/c was working at the time of purchase, how is that your problem now that it's not working - unless you are a dealer and CGA applies. Fitting a belt should be easy.
