hi guys have anyone fitted a 1kz in a ln65 and know how much the mounts need to go backward?
the 1kz is from a kzn185 intercooled but going to manual fuel pump her and going to use a kzn130 or a ln130 auto gearbox does anyone know which gearbox has a pto plate/ can take a pto output from?

Aren't those autos controlled by the ecu? So won't work without it?

The only choice for a Toyota PTO output is from a land cruiser transfercase... Like what is fitted to the old shape prado... LJ or KZJ. But you will have to put in the pto gear. Or an early 70 series. There are older versions but these are easier to get.
If you are going 1KZ then finding a unit with either auto or manual box with its transfercase a set should be good and save a whole lot of issues trying to match it all up in bits.. Also you need to consider the output for the rear diff is off set to the drivers side but according to others having it off set is no great issue.

Can make it work without ECu, just need to manualise it... been done . But with some clever thought you can install a separate trans controller. Lite spitronics unit from SA.

Quite a wide open question there mate.
Tube size will depend on a few things like how long are your links going to be etc etc. Based on what others have done, NB32 Sch 80 sounds reasonably safe.
Have a look at "Tom's off road and custom" facebook page for some inspiration. Heaps of great pics. I think he uses that size of tube as well (not 100% sure though).
