Suzuki Sj413 Solid Axle into 1992 Suzuki Escudo ?

Post by zukst »

Hi

Just toying with the Idea of putting a solid front axle in my Escudo and seeing what’s involved/Cost was wondering if an Sj413 diff would be the right size and if so if it could be used with standard escudo rear diff providing the gearing matched.

Any advice/feedback would be appreciated.

Most adapt a Hilux axle to suit. SJ axles are to narrow I believe.

SJ413 diffs are about 75mm narrower than Samurai IIRC? Been too long since I owned one  And Samurai diffs are still about 100mm too narrow so would have to run 50mm spacers to match track width to rear diff which would give you a ridiculous scrub radius... I think even hilux diffs are slightly narrower than escudo? Ask deranged to widen a front diff for you... :D

You could do what my cousin did:-
- Toyota Land Cruiser 80 series front axle w/ air locker
- Toyota Prado Rear axle w/ 2in wheel spacers and welded diff
- 36x12.5/15 Simexs
- Custom Suspension

And hes now thinking of putting 16inch coilovers in it

Just as a sagestion
Not sure on the price though

Drove it last weekend :D:D:D:D:D *Best cousin ever*
