Nissan Terrano 1992 Electrical Problem

Hi all,
I had some daytime running lights hooked up to a unused relay plug under the bonnet so they came on with ignition.
The daytime running lights have shorted out and now there is a bunch of items that aren't working.
The RPM gauge does not move, the battery, A/T oil temp, and fuel light are all on. In overdrive the torque converter only locks for around 30sec and the automatic line pressure seems to be high so gear changes are a bit rough/fast.
I have checked all fuses in the fuse box with a multi meter and fusable links near battery.
The voltage going to wire i was using has dropped to around ~2volts.
The alternator is charging at 14.2volts.
I cannot think of anything else to check?
Its a 1992 Nissan Terrano WD21 with td27t engine.
Thanks
