Can some one expand on these two engines what's the difference and how easily can the 3B be turboed or is it best/easiest to do a replacement if that was the intent.

how different is the 13B-T ?

Hi

I have turbo'd my 3B.

13BT has lower compression ratio, slightly different injector pump and dosn't use glow plugs. but is basically the same.

the 3B in "IN-Direct" and the 13BT is "Direct" , meaning the 3B has a precombustion chamber in the head and the 13BT has a dish in the top of the piston , the "Direct" is far superior in Turbo apllications like most Cats, Cummins, internationals , Detroits , etc are "Direct", but i think the turbo conversion will be fine on the 3b !
