td27 head gasket

hi guys I have the head off my td27 at the moment. I'm just wondering what thickness head gasket I need. can I tell by markings on the gasket?

Yup. The number on the gasket is the grade you replace it with. 2, 3 or 4 is the thickest I believe. Unless the heads getting machined. Then you go a grade thicker.

cool so on the gasket it has 3 indents beside each cylinder so this would make it a number 3 ?

grade gasket should be a number printed on front. you have the manual for tightening sequence and torque?
