Going to lift my lwb Safari and will make some drop boxes.. But was thinking about changing the bush setup on the and of the radius arms to a rose joint and make the drop boxes to suit.
Would improve flex I would think..?
Anyone tried it? Able to get cert.. Etc..?
Cheers
Radius arm rose joints
Re: Radius arm rose joints
Changed mine to a screw on arrangement running 80 series bushes with drop boxes, not road legal. Did it to eliminate stupid rod to chassis bushes that keep failing & to correct castor angle.
Re: Radius arm rose joints
We was just having a yarn about this over in the 'toolshed' section: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=46330
Main requirement for cert is that the joints are a 'maintenance free' non greasable type. If rod ends don't appeal I don't see why you couldn't fabricate a screw on housing for a press-in rubber bush as Mudtroll describes, might be best to check with your certifier.
