Sorry about all the forthcoming swearing(R18). Well after having a shit of a weekend i came in to work nice an early, went down for a coffee and a smoke to find some mental case sitting in my truck. He can't of been there long as he had had a nice pile of my stuff sitting on the dash waiting for him to pocket. he was even trying to pinch the kids clothes that they left in there. I called the cops and followed him back to his vehicle where the cops nabbed him. Apparently he's some mental case so i made the cops search him and left them to it.

Bugger. Did he break anything to get in? At least you caught him in the act. I imagine that if it had been some cocky young guy that didn't have "mental case" issues and was willing to give you a bit of lip then option number one in the poll would have looked quite attractive.

After all the shit you've had with the zuk, that'd be the last thing you needed! :(

As much fun as it would be to do your own retribution, there are too many pshyco farkers out there that could be carrying a knife/gun/stabbing tool and you will more than likely end up injured. Let the cops deal with it.
Flatmate did the same at uni (his car outside his bedroom window), heard the cnut at 3 in the morning breaking his locks, quietly watch him while he rung the police, couple of minutes later the said cnut was handcuffed and taken away. Had a killswitch so knew if the cops took a little longer he wasnt going too lose his car

Gotta say that I felt bit of a pussy juss callin the cops. I was hoping he was going to take a swing when i dragged him out. I wasn't too worried about him as there were 1/2 dozen boys from the rigging company in the same car park whom I'm sure would have helped if needed. I'm no light weight myself and could handle most of these wnkers. I was in a foul mood as it was, I guess in hind sight I did the right thing. Last thing i need at the moment is some O2 thief having me up for assault.

I've had one truck stolen and twice broken into  . When it was stolen they eventually caught the young "native" lad :D . I explained to both him and coppers that if there was a next time, he would have a bullet between the eyes  . Last time I was broken into (not same native lad as he was in custody) the cops didn't even want to take prints despite them being very obvisious on the dusty truck, fing pricks  . Just recently I heard some noise outside and found some lads lurking outside my house  . Went out with the dog and winch handle :D :D , they left very quick  . I have turned the whole front yard into gravel so I can hear any dudes walking on it and on fri, sat, sun nites I put the dog in the truck to sleep. Trying to find a cheap quote to fit the alarm I bought for the terrano but never fitted.

6 weeks, whoopdy fckin doo, jee I think Im getting bitter.

Reminds me of when I was a young fellow in ChCh, we caught a guy ripping off the flat boombox. After we caught him in the street I stopped a passing cop car. The told me they were on a call out and as we had caught him and got our stuff back they didn't give a fck what we did with him. he heard all this and begged to be arrested. Later that night I did a hospital drive-by and rolled him out the door outside A&E and kept driving. Needless to say he didn't walk in by himself. Oh those were the days!

haha, reminds me of a guy I use to work with who was ex sas, him and 6 of his mates (all ex sas) got home from a night at the pub and found 2 dudeds ripping the flat off, one jumped out the window, the other got caught, they tied him too a chair in the lounge, blindfolded him and tormented the shit out of him all night. They said some nasty shit which apparently the guy was a blithering shaking mess by the morning. As well having a few bruises here and there...

haha god id hate to be on the wrong end of the stick with you fellas!!!!! mid you im not stupid enough to end up there

i dont have a problem with people stealing my truck as they have to get the code for the gate then figure out which garage out of 600 mine zooks in then steal it all of which when it happens the garage alarm will go off and a big "native boy" will turn up and the suspects will be on at least 6 camers by the time they escape...........good i love living at my dads storage busniess

You're a good man, Bubba, next time I am in Welly, I wanta shake you up and down by the hand!! (and buy us a beer or two, each)

I have enormouis respect oft he cops, its a dirty thanklees task. poor bastards are underfunded and unsupported by the bloody legal system.

Imaging how it must feel to catch some twat doing a burg, for the umpteenth time. Set it all up with evidence and the bastard walks cos he has had a scare from a passing shadow in his childhood!!

What about that Sgt of police, doing a measly 105KPH on a 4 lane highway to attend a schoolbus rollover? Looks like his job is on the line, facing up to 6 months loss of license, big fine etc etc.

If the cops show disinterest can you blame them when the damn greenies hamstring their every effort?

political correctness is the problem with this world. you get sent to jail, inside you watch tv and sleep all day, wheres the incentive to stay out? you catch a guy breaking into your garage so you take to him with a baseball bat and get the dog onto him. said dog will most likly get put down as its a "dangerous animal" and you will end up in court for assult. this justice system is screwed. totally screwed.

I have a new feeling for the cops, buts I'm not sure what it is.
some of you know I've been going thru some shite lately and as a complete change of lifestyle I decided I wanted to join the force and do something different each day etc etc etc

so it turns out that if you have a drink driving conviction even if it is 18 years ago, they will not accept you.

ZERO TOLERANCE is what they call it

so the next time they say they are understaffed and having trouble finding new recruits, they will not be getting my sympathy vote.

p.s. I also have a theft conviction from many moons ago, but they don't care about that.

:?: :?: :?:

years ago at about 3am while working on a farm i heard my car starter motor turning over, i was about 18 and it was a vauxhall viva, typical pommie car, ring gear would jam, it was like er er er er er king er er er king, after waking up i grabbed a rifle from the rack (303) and headed out in nothing but my undies. sure enuff was this guy trying to start my car, he obvoiusly couldn,t find the choke in the dark.
Anyway he saw me coming and the bugger locked the doors, not really being quiteawake, we sort of argued through the glass for a while and then in desparation i chambered a round and stuck the muzzle up to the window and said get the #$%^& out of my car or i,ll pull the trigger...................
Well he got out pretty fast and i marched him across the paddock over to the bosses house, hands in the air with the barrel planted in his back, bout half way over he walked straight into the electric fence and sort of got tangled up in it and had a few good volts before he could extract himself.
woke the boss and he rang cops, guy sort of calmed down and i unloaded the gun, made a cup of tea and we sat and waited.
cops took ages and the guy knowing he was going to get done, made a run for it and with the boss we sort of had to subdue him, if u get my drift.
anyway because of the adrenlyn thing and that and becuause i was half asleep it could have easily gone the other way
gun was loaded, safety was off, and i would have pulled the trigger.

p.s on the drink driving thing it suxs!!!!
assault or theft they still let u in after 7 years !! but not DIC
how stupid is that.
heard u can write to the police commission and they still consider it

Two years ago I was living in South Road in Dunedin (about 200m from Carisbrook).
I stayed a bit longer at work doing some milling to a turbo housing and walked home.
Got to the front door and saw a window beside it was broken. Looked inside and saw two people moving around and packing up all my stuff.

I tried to get back to the street to ring the cops without them hearing me, but on the way back past the lounge windows they saw me and started running out the back door.
By the time I managed to unlock the front door (it was a deadbolt both sides) and chase them they had a big headstart.
They had 5 bags with them when they started running, but once they got over the back fence (2m currugated iron, all the wood on the other side) they only had one.
I missed the foot of the last one over the fence by about half a metre. :x

First cop car was there within 4 minutes, within 10 minutes there were 3 cars. I got in one, went cruising and started describing them. Around the next corner both of them were strolling along pretending nothing was up. :D
The cops were soo stoked to catch someone in the act. Me too.

We got everything back, some stuff got damaged. One of them was on bail for burglary already, the other actually had a job. Both were pissed, they left a woodstock can by the front door. One of them matched the name and age of the Christchurch Bus Exchange Bombers, but that was only recently.
13 months for one, 6 months for the other.
When the reparation cheques stopped coming we were up by about $500.

The stupidest thing. They walked right past goretex jackets and the like and instead had old T shirts and worn out shoes all packed up to take.
They were also taking electronic stuff for someone. They took and indoor/outdoor theremometer (well the indoor half), multimeter, laptop computers with the power cords etc.

Looking back on it, it's a good thing I didn't catch that one before he got over the fence.

Yeah, it is pretty laid back in Dunedin. However a week or so ago a mates van got broken into, the head unit stolen (a crappy no-brand thing, but that's not the point) and a filthy great runny turd left on the back seat. WTF?

yeh there used to be a few cars being broken in to around maori hill when i used to go to school up there, they used to just take head units and cd's, never heard of a vehicle actually being stolen while i was up there. can remember one day had both vehicles either side of my truck broken into and had the head units stolen, both had crappy units compared to mine and i had close on $500 worth of tools sitting on the back seat in full view. i think it was someone that was known to me in school
