has anyone actually done this or is it a huge pisstake to make people f*** their engines... are there any downsides to this,
what does it achieve and does anyone have a video of them doing it.

I am in slight disbelief that people really do this in real life

How do you suppose 2 stroke oil would fk an engine ? Think about what 2 stroke oil is and where it ends up .

There's plenty of threads about this .

Well, 7 years of using 2 stroke in my Safari's, and Landcruisers certainly caused no problems, unless running quieter is considered a problem

2 stroke or 4 stroke does not determine if diesel or petrol, but on the design of the engine. Worked on 2 stroke turbo diesels and high speed 4 stroke diesels when at sea. The reason for the adding of 2 stroke oil mix is to lubricate injectors since sulfur was removed some years back. From reading threads in this forum it is done for older engines whose injector design needed the sulfur. Personally I use Moreys injector treatment, it lubricates and has a biocide that kills diesel diesel bug and helps separate water.

Hope this helps clarify,

cheers Paul.

Yes, it's still used on common rail engines as well for lubrication.

Only works when it's in there .not along the lines of a cleaner which you would do once every ten tanks etc
If you're putting 200 ml in 50 litres when u fill up a bottle is going to last 5 fill ups which is quite a while
