Y60 underhood hoses...

I'm not sure what Mr. Nissan was thinking, why is there so much excess under the bonnet??
Clutch - there is a tee block, one of which heads to the slave cylinder, the other through a coil and up to a bleed valve.
What is the point?? Can I just blank this coil off? Is it for extra fluid, or cooling? or just to bleed completely?
Vacuum - do I really need the ballast tank? I'm going to reroute the lines either way
Fuel - comes in along the RH rail, 90•, across to the diesel filter on LHS, 180•, back across to the injector pump, 90 + 90• then the return line to the tank! Fluid dynamics anyone?
Wire - don't even start me! It's spaghetti junction in there!
and if anyone knows about the breather, it seems my front diff and gearbox share a breather line into the LHS quarter panel (high) while the rear only goes up into the crossmember (low.) Is there a check valve inside the quarter panel for the front? Can/ should I reroute all of this, and bring the rear forward, to somewhere up under the dash? It doesn't really make sense that the box should be coming forward as that's about the highest point in the line.
So, my plan is to bring the diesel filter over to the driver's side removing 2m of hose and 360• of bends; mount the vacuum lines/tank higher up the firewall; remove the excess clutch line, fit both batteries on the LHS, and have a bit less clutter!
