Just having a look over my truck tonight and checking bits n bobs when I noticed this crack on the inner guard.
Is a warrant issue ?.

I can take outer guard off and weld up, noticed crack starting on the other side by snorkel also.
It is 96 D/C, is this common ?, and is there other areas I should look while the mig is set up.

Cheers.

A Mates LN130 Surf and my older LN61 Surf developed the same cracks.
I don't recall it ever coming up at warrants.
Not helpful at all sorry

Paul I wonder if it's caused by the body flexing when off road, undulated ground etc. Did it start at one of the factory holes where wiring loom etc clip in? Surely it would be worth gluing back together even if it's not a wof issue?

Yeah I think I will, it is actually needing a bit of TLC, looking at taking it of the road for 6 months, I need to do front diff seal, A arms, steering pump, idler arm, drag link, rear axle seal keeps weeping, ( replaced 2x) rust around cabin needs attention, replace tray, replace gbox cross member, front cross member, gbox and xfer case breathers, rear disc conversion, oh yeah pop a 305 SBC in    8)
