KZJ95 R150F vs split transfercase compatibility?

Hi Guys, just picked up a 5spd box out of a wrecked KZJ95 1996-2002 model Prado for $0. Wondering how easily this will bolt up to my 1990 LJ71 Prado? My current box has a few miles & a bit of a whine in 5th so having a spare will be handy.
I know they are both R150F boxes but off different motors & transfer cases. I suspect I may need a different tail housing to fit my split-case transfer box? Need to pull off my skid plate & have a proper look. If the tail housing does need swapping how easy is that?
