Land rover series 2A, Nissan LD28 conversion, gearbox woes

Post by Bugly »

Howdy folks,
I have a beautiful (well to me anyways) 1966 Series 2A landy. I have ripped it apart, as you do, down to every last bolt and washer and reassembled. It had previously been repowered with a Nissan LD28, 3l diesel and has power steering via a toyoda steering box. But the main issue right now is I am not sure about the gearbox (the previous owner said it was from a Toyota land cruiser but it isn't, it's not an H55F, H41/2 etc), I am keen to know if this looks familiar to anyone out there and if so any idea of original vehicle? It is a 5 speed. Check out photos here https://www.flickr.com/photos/149442559@N02/
Thanks in advance.
Bugly.
