5l turbo hilux

Thought I may as well start a build thread


After my last single cab hilux got pinched i bought a cheap Pajero and a pos lwb safari then about a year ago I found another single cab ln106 with a 5l turbo motor in it

First thing to go on it was a set of 33x10.5 bfg km2
Then a 50mm bodylift to stop the guard rubbing

During the bodylift install I found some rust around the body mounts which is still yet to be fixed

Aim for this build is
RUF with highsteer in the front
Sheep shagger springs in the back
Winchbar / winch
Recovery points front and rear
Custom flatdeck with decent rollover protection
4.5 diffs with lokka in the rear will stay open in the front for now
A.c pump onboard air with outlets on the front and back of truck


Eventually want be able to run in clubman class winch challenges as well as being able to use it for hunting trips in the backcountry

High steer kit and extended shackles are on there way
Drop crossmember is almost done

And bar is all bolted up
Might add a few gussets here and there to keep it nice and strong and then a clean up and lick of paint

Anyone know where i can get the ifs hub spacers in nz or do I have to order from the state's?
