anyone know about this patrol
also what is the petrol like
and will a td42 bolt up to the petrol tranny?

i'm not sure if the trans will fit to the diesel but doing a petrol to diesel conversion may not be straight forward.
a lot easier if you have a donar vehicle (ie if you have a rusted out diesel patrol) as you may need to swap the dash (tach), fuel lines, tank etc.
also cert is required.
usually a whole lot easier to buy a diesel patrol.

Or I have a donor truck with good TD42 and manual trans. Axles and clutch master and slave system removed plus other bit & pieces like radiator and mirrors. Interior really rough. But all you need for the petrol to diesel swap. Yours for $1500. In Marlborough

generally shift patterns and gearing ratios are different between oil burners and benzene mills. all to do with engine torque range v h.p. range

I've just put a petrol gearbox on my TD42, bolt straight up, exactly the same gearbox.
