Hilux 2.4 Turbo?

Hilux 2.4 Turbo?

Have had a bit of a search and couldn't find anything. I have heard that the 2.4 Turbo is an engine to stay away from. Is this true, and if so, why?

Have seen a few 2.4 Turbo Hilux's for sale recently with 35 inch tyres, and am just wondering if I should stay clear or not.

I had a good run from my 2.4 till the cam belt bust, but alot of people have had bad experence with them, The good thing is you can replace them with somethng else. Also those truck you say you have seen round running 35" with the 2.4, possiably dont have teh 2.4 in there........
