My radio doesn't always start with the truck seems to be linked to the temp gauge oil gauge and speedo they also like a sleep in All comes on eventually except the fuel gauge which seems to have random reading issues like says its on empty when its full and 3/4 when its empty oh and the rev counter reading 2k rpm at idle. Normal safari character traits.

My first thought would be rubbish OEM speaker wiring, possibly shorted - it's not that hard to drag new stuff, and I would recommend re-wiring everything (power and earch as well)

Second would be the configuration on the head unit - it may switch between Amp-out (line level) and speaker-out.

And if you throw "safari" into that, then the 12v reducer would need looking at.

Mine did the same thing when upgrading the radio to a newer unit.
Issue was the limited power supply from the 24-12v converter.
Put in another 24-12v converter just for the radio and that solved the issue.
I did also have a look round for 24v sterios and they are available through truck parts stores.
