This has nothing to do with 4WD'ing however the workhorse HiAce helps earn the necessary funds to enjoy a Suzuki SJ410 that we have had for about 17 years.

The HiAce has a broken windscreen wiper stem housing (the alloy part that supports the rotating stem through the body), a non functioning horn circuit (can't seem to find continuity from the steering shaft to earth) and a low heat heater. All these things point to the dash having to come out to access the wiper assembly, trace the horn wiring / steering shaft for faults and to get to the heater for for cleaning, flushing hoses / valves.

A Google for Toyota HiAce workshop / service or electrical manuals often leads to dead links on other forums, to parts only manuals or to outright scams (downloadgeeks for example).

The vehicle is a 1999 HiAce 2.8 Diesel XR Van with 5 doors. Model LH103R-SRMRS Engine: 3L

Does anyone have access to useful manuals?

This official European Toyota site can be subscribed on a time basis and a lot of stuff can be downloaded in 1 hour which cost 3 pounds.

The model number above (Japanese import) was available and the download list included LHD, 4WD and luxury versions.

24 hours subscription is 16 pounds. Unfortunately an awful lot of mouse-clicking is required as the manuals are accessed only a few pages at a time as the manual subjects are broken down to a low level so I've ended up with nearly 600 PDF files totalling about 60MB. Using the brilliant SmallPDF site it's now a matter of stitching the sections back into single, more easily managed large files.

The mechanical files seemed to download with 1 click per subject with Firefox but for electrical drawing it was necessary to use Internet Explorer, waiting a moment for the drawing to appear then saving it.
