Shorten front pto shaft
Hoping people still check this site. One more pto question. I've set my winch back z bit from std and now front shaft from engine mount bearing to winch distance is shorter. I'm about 25mm away from bring sble to slip it over the winch shaft. Anyone cut and shortened the front shaft? I was thinking cut 25mm out just behind the front joint sleeve and weld? Does that work?

Can't help you either way mate, once upon a time this forum used to go off every night, that's the result of social media I guess.
I don't see any reason it wouldn't work though.

Ha I would check in here at least once a day . This is first time this year....
I shortened the PTO shaft on my 40.
Just cut out the bit I don't need layed the two bits of the shaft in a peace of angle to keep them straight and welded them. Still working 15 years later...
