hi there i have a 92 terrano td27 and i was up in the akatarawas, i called it a day and headed back. got to the road and realised the gearbox had shit itself. i had no drive whatsoever. This is a common problem on an auto terrano?, does anyone know where i can get a cheap autobox from or have any info on how to stop this from happening again?, Any help would be great. thank you.

More info, no drive at all is uncommon, does it drive in 4WD? 2WD? Reverse?

Cheers, Jeff.

Give Andrew Farmer a yell on 027 444 6803, he can come round and look at it for you and determine where the fault is and fix or suggest where to take it. I use him for servicing on my Shiny Diesel Grand Vitara and my Crappy old Daihatsu....

He's also a CCVC member as well...

Hmm, has it got any oil left in it? You may of broken a cooling line while tiki touring in the Aka's. Failing that there isn't a lot than can cause an auto to lose all drive apart from maybe a failed torque converter. Terrano trans are very strong, you want to see the insides of one, built like a brick ^&^%house.

Cheers, Jeff.

my guess
