Rear Axle seal

Post by 4x4Matt »

Just tidying up a few things on the Escudo, and have noticed that the right rear axle seal is leaking. Would anyone happen to know the best place to get a new seal?

Cheers, Matt

Have you checked the preload on the pinion bearing? Those seals usually leak 'cos the shaft is wobbly. Give it a wiggle to check. There's a crush sleeve in there that might need nipping up from time to time.

Otherwise take the seal to your local bearing shop, check suzuki genuine too, sometimes they'll surprise you & actually have decent prices.

If it breaks, build it stronger.
If it doesn't break, drive it harder.
